Like mother used to sing, the short film directed by Denisse Conn Tubacu and co-produced by Castalia Pictures and Papillon Film has been nominated at Transilvania IFF.

The films tells the story of a repressed daughter (Carmen), who’s organizing her mother’s birthday – an egocentric woman for whom nothing and no one is enough. Being frustrated by the inability to execute what is expected of her, Carmen’s psychic will crank in the end, making her do something she never thought possible.

There are 11 short films nominated at TIFF this year, which will be held between 23rd of July and 1st of August in Cluj.
